Embark on a mouthwatering journey to Japan, where every meal tells a story, and every bite is a discovery! From bustling fish markets to hidden izakayas, steaming bowls of ramen to delicate kaiseki artistry, you’ll experience the full spectrum of Japan’s culinary wonders.

Approximate Dates: May 9 – 16, 2026

Travelers embarking on this special culinary journey are joined by chefs who have immersed themselves in Japanese food and culture. Special appearances by additional food experts join the group along the way.

Day 1: Tokyo, Japan

  • Arrive in Tokyo, Japan
  • You are met and transferred to your accommodations.
  • Group welcome dinner at local izakaya.
  • Overnights: Centrally Located Tokyo Hotel

Day 2: Tokyo

  • Early visit to outer market of Tsukiji fish market with samples, Ginza, evening izakaya tour

Day 3: Tokyo

  • Morning ramen tour, Shinjuku, Yakitori dinner

Day 4: Mito City, Tokyo

  • This afternoon board a train to Mito City where we visit a well-known brewery for both a beer and whisky tasting, as well as a wagyu beef dinner

Day 5: Tokyo

  • Shibuya & Omotesdando Hills with Coffee Omakase, Nakameguro Koukashita shops and restaurants, izakaya dinner

Day 6: Tokyo

  • Morning shopping with vehicle, afternoon at leisure, dinner

Day 7: Tokyo

  • Check out of hotel and make your way to the airport (upgraded transfers available) or continue onwards to other parts of Japan with R. Crusoe & Son
