The route begins in Fez, with time to explore the medina and the nearby histories of Meknes, Moulay Idriss and Volubilis. From there, a private overland journey carries you through the Middle Atlas to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, then west through Todgha Gorge, Skoura, Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou before crossing the High Atlas into Marrakech.
