This journey is being designed as a thoughtful exploration of culture, landscape, foodways and philosophy, with time for guided discovery, local encounters, gentle movement and reflection.

This journey is being shaped by Rachel Dorsey of R. Crusoe & Son.
Rachel first lived in Okinawa while teaching English through the JET Programme, an experience that began her long connection to Japan and continues to influence the way she thinks about meaningful travel.
Okinawa remains one of the places that most shaped her perspective: deeply connected to nature, layered with history and culturally distinct from the better-known images of Japan.
This journey grew from a desire to return with travelers in a way that feels curious, personal and unhurried.

The commitment helps us understand the level of serious interest, shape the group thoughtfully and continue refining the itinerary with the right travelers in mind.
As the journey details and pricing are finalized, we will share updates with those who have committed. If the final trip is not the right fit, the commitment will be refunded.
